What is the
bed bureau?
The bed bureau is a service that collects information about
Care Homes in the UK and distributes that information to the
Social Services, Discharge Liason staff and the public. The
website you are looking at is only one part of that.
What areas do you cover?
Currently we cover the whole of Wales, but we are expanding
to cover areas in England!
The bed bureau isn't running in my area yet, what
do i do?
We may not be running in your area yet, if you think
the service will be useful to you or your staff then get in
touch with us by emailing info@bedbureau.org You could also
talk to the people locally who are in charge of Delayed Transfers
of Care and get them to get in touch with us.
Why should I become a member?
You may have noticed that our public search actually
tells you which homes have vacancies, which don't, and which
ones we don't know about. Members get the ability to search
for vacancies far more specifically. There are lots of extra
options to make it easier to get the vacancy you are looking
for. You also have the option of having vacancies e-mailed
to you on a weekly or daily basis, you put in the search criteria
you want and the system does the rest. You may not have to
visit the site again!!
How do I Register with you?
If you have and e-mail account and access to the Internet
you can register
online. Simply click the link, or use the menu at the left
hand side of the screen, and follow the instructions. |
